I was feeling lucky this morning. The rainbow I saw coming through Cairns just seemed to cement that. When I online checked in for my two flights today, I saw where I was sitting, and what seats I could purchase to change to. Both my seats were windows and offered seats to buy next to. Does this mean I will have a row to myself? If so, that would be ay-maze-zing. 11 hours is long enough without squishing in next to others.

The wait for check in was long as usually, which makes no sense as it took me less than 2 minutes (online check in). Security and passport were equally quick. Though my egg sandwich was flagged, x-ray thought it was yoghurt. God forbid. No liquids.
There a quite a few americans in the waiting lounge, makes sense as Fiji is connecting to Canada and North America. They are a different sort of people. So used to heading to asia and having asian returning home around.
I was concerned last night about all sorts of last minute items. The weather in Canada has decided to stick with being rainy and cool. We will see how that plays out whilst camping. I’m just glad that my pillow wasn’t an issue at check-in/security. That was one of my worries.
I leave 12:45pm Saturday the 27th and fly for 15 hours, with a 3 hour wait in Fiji, and yet I arrive at 2:00pm Saturday the 27th. So looks like I get to do some time travelling as well.

I’ll do my best to sleep on the flight to Vancouver, hopefully I’ll have plenty of room.
